Your firearm is only as good as the person shooting it. The only way to become a skilled, knowledgable shooter is to learn from those who are professional, qualified, and patient with their students. Our instructors at Mad Dog Armory will take you as far as you're willing to go.
AVAILABLE RIFLE CLASSES
First Shots Rifle Class
This Class is specifically designed for those Individuals that just purchased an AR-15 style rifle and want to learn the basics of it's functionality. If you are not familiar with how to safely operate your rifle or the basics of firearm safety then you are welcome to join us. Even if you are advanced and want to re-familiarize yourself with the fundamentals this class is for you.
Please bring a picture ID and a good attitude. If you are needing practice with your own firearms, then that will take place in the 2nd half of the class. You must bring your own ammunition to fire your own firearms. All class attendess will meet here at the store. We at Mad Dog Armory want to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to learn in the desired date and time that they seek for our classes.

- First Shots Rifle Class: $169
- Duration:
- First Shots Rifle Class: 3.5 - 4 hours
- Audience:
- First Shots Rifle Class: For those who are new to, or unfamiliar with properly handling AR-15's.
Prerequisites:
- At least 21 years old.
- If underage they must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian.
What to Wear:
- Pants are preferred. DO NOT wear low cut tops, tank tops, or open-toed shoes. Hot brass will be ejected from the firearm.
- A valid form of ID
- Your own AR-15
- Iron Sights or Red Dot Sights that are mounted
- At least 1 magazine
- 50-100 rounds of ammunition
- (Optional) Your own eye and ear protection
- Safety gear if needed
- Targets
- Directly to Mad Dog Armory. Range time will take place later at WAC.
- Distance from Largo store: ~9 miles
- Distance from Tampa store: ~16 miles
Intermediate Rifle Class
This Class is designed for those Individuals that may have purchased an AR-15 style rifle recently or some time ago and already know the basics of it's functionality. This class will build on what was learned in the First Shots Rifle Class and provide more shooting and work on your fundamentals. Even if you are advanced and want to re-familiarize yourself with the fundamentals this class is for you.

- Duration:
- Intermediate Rifle Class: 3.5 - 4 hours
- Audience:
- Intermediate Rifle Class: For those who are getting started but understand the basics of properly handling AR-15's.
Prerequisites:
- At least 21 years old.
- If underage they must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian.
- Completed our First Shots Rifle Class or equivelent certifications
What to Wear:
- Pants are preferred. DO NOT wear low cut tops, tank tops, or open-toed shoes. Hot brass will be ejected from the firearm.
- A valid form of ID
- Your own AR-15
- Iron Sights or Red Dot Sights that are mounted
- At least 1 magazine
- 200-250 rounds of ammunition
- (Optional) Your own eye and ear protection
- Safety gear if needed
- Targets
- Directly to Mad Dog Armory. Range time will take place later at WAC.

- Distance from Tampa store: ~16 miles
DOG POUND TACTICAL RIFLE CLASS I
This Class is specifically designed for those Individuals that own an AR-15 style rifle and want the ability to use their firearm to defend themselves and their family. If you know how to safely operate your rifle and have attended a basic rifle course previously then you are welcome to join us. Whether you are just starting out in your journey with an AR-15 or you are advanced and want to re-familiarize yourself with the fundamentals this class is for you.
- Class Price: $250
- Duration: 6 hours.
- Audience: For those who have shot before on their own and doesn't have trouble correctly handling and reloading a firearm.
Prerequisites:
- At least 21 years old.
- If underage they must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian.
- Have completed Mad Dog Armory's First Shots Rifle class or have sufficient rifle experience.
What to Wear:
- Pants are preferred. DO NOT wear low cut tops, tank tops, or open-toed shoes. Hot brass will be ejected from the firearm.
- AR style rifle (caliber of your choosing)
- 2 point or Single point sling
- No Hunting Slings. They are not designed for defensive applications
- 3 magazines and a method to carry them on your person
- 500 rounds of rifle ammunition
- Iron Sights or Red Dot Sights that are mounted and zeroed
- Baseball Cap
- Range Safety Equipment
- Proper Range Attire
- No gear, firearm or ammo is provided. But firearm and safety gear may be rented.
- Directly to the Fishhawk.
DOG POUND TACTICAL RIFLE CLASS II

- Duration: 6 to 8 hours.
- Audience: For those who have shot before on their own and doesn't have trouble correctly handling and reloading a firearm.

- Have completed Mad Dog Armory's Dog Pound Tactical Rifle Class I or have sufficient rifle experience.
What to Wear:
- Pants are preferred. DO NOT wear low cut tops, tank tops, or open-toed shoes. Hot brass will be ejected from the firearm.
- AR style rifle (caliber of your choosing)
- 2 point or Single point sling
- No Hunting Slings. They are not designed for defensive applications
- 3 magazines and a method to carry them on your person
- 500 rounds of rifle ammunition
- Iron Sights or Red Dot Sights that are mounted and zeroed
- Lunch or Snacks
- Water will be provided. If you would like something else like Gatorade please bring it with you
- A valid form of ID
- Appropriate range attire and safety equipment
- Hiking style shoes
